What Daily Life Looks Like on a California Sheep Farm
Ever wondered what happens at a sheep dairy farm? It’s not all adorable sheep photos (though we have plenty of those).
Morning Milking Routine
Our day starts at 5 AM with morning milking. Each sheep in our flock gets individual attention during the milking process, along with their special grain breakfast. This one-on-one time helps us monitor their health and ensure quality milk production.
Pasture Management
Between milkings, we focus on pasture rotation, fence maintenance, and equipment sanitation. Sheep dairy farming requires meticulous cleanliness standards—every piece of milking equipment is thoroughly cleaned after each session.
Evening Milking and Care
Our flock is milked twice daily, maximizing fresh milk production for BaaDaBoom kefir. The sheep follow predictable routines, which reduces stress and supports better milk quality.
This hands-on approach is what makes small-batch sheep dairy special—every bottle represents genuine farm-to-table care.
