Meet the Sheep Behind Your BaaDaBoom

Our Sheep Aren't Just Livestock; They're Family.

They have names, personalities, and opinions (mostly about snacks). Get to know the wooly crew that makes BaaDaBoom possible.

Meet Honey, the Velcro Sheep

This is Honey. She is the official shadow and cuddle expert of M&J Farms! Honey believes personal space is a myth and follows the Davis family whenever she gets a chance.

She’s perfected the art of the soulful gaze and gives the best “thank you” nuzzles after treats. Warning: she will steal your heart (and possibly your sandwich).

Introducing Buttercup,
Our Leading Lady

This is Buttercup. She is the reigning drama queen and top milk producer of M&J Farms! Buttercup knows she’s gorgeous and produces the creamiest milk on the farm—basically the Beyoncé of the flock.

She demands the spotlight, expects VIP treatment at the grain bar, and isn’t afraid to let out a dramatic baa if things aren’t going her way. The cameras love her, and honestly? So do we.

Say Hello to Maverick,
One of a Kind

This is Maverick. He is the one and only unicorn of M&J Farms! Born with one horn, Maverick has fully leaned into his mystical era.

He’s convinced he has magical powers (jury’s still out), but we can confirm he has the power to make everyone who meets him smile. First to the gate for visitors, last to leave the photo op—this boy knows his angles and isn’t afraid to work them.

M&J Farm Sheep Schedule

Our Sheep Stay On Schedule!

Life at M&J Farms runs on a steady rhythm, and the BaaDaBoom flock follows the same dependable routine every single day. This consistency supports animal health, comfort, and the high-quality milk that goes into every bottle we produce.

Here’s a look at a
typical day on the farm:

Morning Start

As the sun comes up, the barn comes to life. The flock rises, stretches, and begins moving toward the milking area to start the day. Early mornings are busy, purposeful, and essential to keeping everything on track

Grain Feeding & Milking

Morning milking is paired with a carefully balanced dairy ration designed specifically for sheep. This nutrient-dense grain supports energy needs, body condition, and consistent milk production. Fresh water is always available, and each animal moves calmly through the milking routine.

Hay Time

After milking, the flock returns to high-quality hay. Long-stem fiber is critical for rumen function, digestion, and overall health, making hay one of the most important parts of the daily diet.

Midday Rest

During the warmest hours, activity slows. Sheep spend this time resting, ruminating, drinking water, and seeking comfortable areas of shade or shelter. This quiet period allows digestion to work efficiently and conserves energy for the rest of the day.

Evening Milking & Feeding

As temperatures begin to drop, the flock returns to the barn for the second milking and feeding. Maintaining a consistent twice-daily schedule helps ensure animal comfort while supporting steady milk quality and yield.

Night Routine

After evening chores are complete, the barn settles into a calm, quiet pace. The flock rests in protected areas with access to water and feed, ready to begin the cycle again at sunrise.

Here at M&J Farms

This routine repeats day after day, season after season — a steady system of care, attention, and stewardship that keeps the BaaDaBoom flock thriving.
