Story

From Almonds
to Sheep (And Everything In Between)

The Davis Family

M&J Farms is a family operation in every sense of the word — run by Marcie and Josh, their kids, a few loyal dogs, Poppy the pig, and a few hundred sheep at the heart of everything we do.

This isn’t just where we work — it’s our home, our legacy, and the dream we built from the ground up, one fence post and one sheep at a time.

Life on the farm follows the rhythms of the animals, the seasons, and the daily work that keeps everything moving forward. It’s demanding, meaningful, and deeply rewarding.

This is the life we chose — and the life we wouldn’t trade for anything.

Welcome to the BaaDaBoom Family.

The Transformation

We still grow almonds, but a few years ago, we added sheep to the mix. Why? Because we wanted to add our twist on our farming roots. BaaDaBoom was born from that vision, our sheep milk kefir is packed with probiotics, fresh ingredients, and a heritage that supports not only your gut but your health.

The Heritage

M&J Farms started with Marcie’s great grand parents, who immigrated from the Azores to the town of Hughson, California. Four generations later, the Baptista Family continue to farm with grit, love, and a dream.

Marcie grew up surrounded by traditions, hard work, and the belief that food is best when farm fresh. Today, she and her husband Josh carry that legacy forward, honoring the past while building something new.

The Purpose

We’re not just making kefir. We’re building a legacy of health, heritage, and heart. Every bottle of BaaDaBoom is a tribute to our family, our flock, and the people who trust us to nourish their bodies.
